Do you want to lose fat? Have you tried different diets and failed consistently? If you answered yes to these questions, you are in good company. There are a lot of people who have been trying fat loss diets over the years and have failed. The reason they have not succeeded is that they used gimmicks and lose-weight-fast diets that do more damage than good. Here are some sensible things to keep in mind when you try to lose weight.
1. Do not have more than 1 egg yolk a day. It’s better when you are able to cut down your egg yolk consumption to 3 per week.
2. Make chocolates a luxury and not a routine. Chocolates are not or at least they should not be a part of your diet. So do not indulge too much in them. Even the bitter chocolates are not good for you because though the sugar is less there is still the cream in them.
3. Choose a variety of foods from all food groups every day. This is a fine way of keeping deficiency diseases at bay. Change the items included in your diet every day. It helps you to experiment with a variety of dishes and there by you do not get bored of your diet.
4. If you can say no to alcoholic beverages please do. Alcoholic beverages are not good for you. Beer can be fattening and the rest of the alcoholic drinks may not be fattening by themselves but after a couple of swigs you will be in no position to watch your diet and your appetite too will be something to battle with.
5. Attempt to consume breakfast within an hour of waking. It is the best way to provide your body the jumpstart it demands. Do not wait till you’re truly starved. Breakfast is crucial, however you do not have to stuff yourself.
6. Your diet should include all food groups including carbohydrates. In fact, your diet needs to be about 50 – 55% carbs. Carbs are a great source of energy. Those diets that prohibit carbohydrates are actually harming you and only making you crave them that much more. Your diet should not cause you to be deficient in anything.
7. Proteins should be 25 – 30% of your diet. A lot of stress is put on meat as the primary part of your meal. Protein needs more calories to digest which is called the thermogenic effect.
