It is naturally required that a woman carrying a baby get all the nutrients in a properly balanced amount but some nutrients would be needed in higher quantity than others. Calcium is one such thing needed in excess. This is essentially because calcium makes sure the baby will have healthy bones and teeth. Milk is a rich source of calcium and a pregnant lady requires at least 2 full glasses of milk daily. Further, dairy products can also supplement the input. Calcium supplement pills are available too.

Correct consumption of water is also important along with a correct diet. In case a pregnant girl doesn’t take enough water, her body might become dehydrated. This will expose the baby to a number of disfigurements and prenatal issues. It is easy to find how much water a woman needs. It should be half as many oz. as is the body weight of the woman carrying the baby. Obviously that water should be consumed in equal proportions at regular intervals and not in one time.

Yet another imperative thing of significance is to maintain distance from the food cooked in the microwave. The reason behind this is that the microwave makes use of the radioactive radiations to prepare the food. These radiations in turn are not really safe for a healthy cooking. So the simplest way to avoid such a situation is to avoid eating the microwave food to the maximum possible level.

While there are some foods that are superb for the mothers to be, there are some that may do quite some harm. A couple of these foods include unpasteurized cheeses, raw eggs, fishes that are high in mercury, uncooked meat, unpasteurized juice and several others. It is very significant that these foods be avoided at all costs as they bring along the risk of Listerine or thermoplastics. This can lead to several birth defects.

This leads to a faster metabolism. Not only is spinach a fat burning food but it also lowers cholesterol, and is rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin E, beta carotene and iron.

Finally, don’t forget the magic of apples. Apples are jam-packed with goodness and are full of fiber. If you are following a diet of thermogenic fat burning foods to lose weight, make sure you eat plenty of apples. They can also keep hunger pangs at bay.

History of Smart Liposuction

In today’s world of modern medicine the procedure known as liposuction has become common place. But it hasn’t always been that way. In fact the traditional methods of liposuction, or body contouring and the removal of excess body fat date back to as early as the 1920’s.

Even though the procedure was dangerous and lost its following, the idea behind the procedure managed to gain momentum. The public liked the idea of removing fat surgically. However, they wanted a method that was safer. Research was done in order to find a way to remove fat without losing as much blood.

Following the presentation and several medical journal articles the procedure found its way to the United States where several physicians experimented with the procedure. It was from these experiments that several variations emerged.

By 1985 the traditional liposuction procedure had gained acceptance within the medical community as a medically sanctioned intervention for the reduction of body fat and contouring of the areas where the fat was removed. As the process of liposuction was used more and more the problems related to its use were addressed and reduced.

It was during the 1990’s that the use of ultra sound was introduced as another way of performing the procedure. The use of high powered sound waves to break down the fatty tissue was a significant step toward making liposuction both safer and less intrusive.

The result of 30 years of advancement in the field of liposuction has meant that more fatty material can now be removed while reducing blood loss, discomfort, and risk for the average patient. In fact, one of the more significant outcomes for this procedure is what has become known as autologous fat transfer, or the reintroduction of removed body fat into other areas of the body where body contouring is wanted.

Great strides have been made around this procedure. In fact, with the introduction of Smart Lipo what can be best described as a revolution in how traditional liposuction is done today. Smart Lipo shares some similarities with the more traditional liposuction procedures, but the cannula used is much narrower, allowing for smaller incisions and less scaring. This cannula contains laser inside it which emits energy into the targeted fat cells thus breaking them down. Without their cell walls to separate them, the fat takes on a liquid consistency, being easily suctioned from the body.

The Mystic History of Acai Berry

When the villagers discovered her, they also discovered the palm, which bore berries plentiful enough to feed and sustain the entire village. The tribal chief was able to lift the decree and named the berries Acai berries after his dead daughter. Acai is Iaca spelled backward.

Interesting story, but the real miracle of the amazing acai berry is what we now know about it through scientific study. The acai berry contains essential amino acids, omega 3 fatty acids and super antioxidants.

Anthocyanin is the super antioxidant that gives the acai berry its gorgeous royal purple color. It is also known for its ability to slow or stop tumor growth in laboratory studies. Though all antioxidants are capable of fighting free radicals and the damage they incur thus preventing cancer, anthocyanin is more powerful than most.

Because free radicals are also responsible for the aging process, acai berries are also great for preventing premature aging and slowing the biological clock.
