I’ve been good. I’ve eaten my vegetables and fruits like mom always said I should. Why do I need vitamin supplements?

Vitamins are essential for the growth of our body. They control the chemical reactions which convert food into energy and living tissue. Of the thirteen vitamins needed, the human body produces only four; the rest we get from our diet.

Well unless you are picking the fruits and vegetables from your own backyard, it has sat in storage, the delivery truck, the supermarket shelf and finally your refrigerator before it is consumed. Even if it was picked from the local farmer and eaten the same day, chances are it was grown with hybrid/genetically modified seeds.
